1. What time does the site open and close?
The site opens at 06.30 in preparation for the first departure (07.00) and closes after the passengers on the last bus arriving at the site (19.20) have left which is normally around 19.45.
2. Can I drop someone off at the site?
Dropping off at the site is unavailable as a validated ticket will be needed to exit the car park through the barriers.
3. Can you explain the Group Ticket?
The Group Day Ticket is available after 0900 Mon-Fri and all day Saturday for a group of up to 5 people travelling together on both journey’s.
4. Can you explain the Child Fares?
Children under 5 travel for free, over 5's can travel as part of the Group Day ticket after 0900 Mon-Fri and all day Saturday. If children would like to travel before 0900 Mon-Fri they would need to purchase a Day Ticket.
5. How long does a Ten Trip Ticket last for?
The Ten Trip Ticket allows 10 Day Tickets within a 2 month time span.
6. Can I park at the site and use the service to get to Grove Park?
The service runs from the site and will only collect passengers at Grove Park to take them back to the City Centre. Due to the need for the exit barrier ticket it is not possible to park at the site and walk to Grove Park. This system is in place as a result of the planning conditions for the site.
7. Are there any time constraints to Concessionary Travel?
Elderly Persons’ with a pass can travel after 0930 Mon-Fri and all day Saturday for free. Elderly Persons’ with a pass can travel before 0930 Mon-Fri for £1.50. Disabled Persons’ with a pass can travel for free without any time restriction.
8. How do I use the City Loop?
If you are travelling from the Enderby site you can stay on the bus at St. Nicholas Place while passengers are dropped off then the bus will continue round the City Loop stopping at Horsefair Street, Pocklington’s Walk, Welford Road, Infirmary Road, Oxford Street and back to St. Nicholas Place. The City Loop stops are easily identified by the display posters and bus stop vinyl. If you are waiting on the loop to catch the bus back to the site stay onboard as the routes have been planned so there is no need to change buses.
9. Is there a height restriction at the entrance to the site?
Height barriers 2.1m (6’-10”) clearance are present at all entrance/exit points.
10. Can I use my wheelchair on the low floor buses?
Whether a particular type of wheelchair can be accommodated mainly depends on its size and manoeuvrability, you should check with the operator before travelling.
11. What happens if I lose my ticket?
A vending machine is situated near the site office to print out bar-coded exit barrier tickets to car park users who have lost their ticket.
The lost ticket charge is £10 including VAT. The machine accepts cash and card payments.
12. Can I take my bicycle or large bulky items on the bus?
Operators’ primary needs are to ensure the safety and comfort of their passengers. Because of this and due to limited space many operators have specific policies on what they agree to carry; this applies to commercial and contract services. It is always best to check with the individual operator before travelling.
13. Can I take my dog / pet on the bus?
Disabled people are generally allowed to travel with their guide, assistance or hearing dog. The passenger must comply with any instructions given by the driver. Bus companies have different policies on the carriage and cost of transporting pets; please check with the individual operator before travelling.
